Changing an Existing MEPCO Connection

MEPCO treats a name change after buying a property like a new connection, charges the security-deposit difference for a load increase, and recovers past subsidy when a home connection becomes commercial. Each change below is summarised from MEPCO’s own FAQs; apply at your sub-division office.

Before you pay anything

Ask for a written cost estimate, and pay only through official bill or bank channels. PITC’s complaint website warns consumers never to send money for meters, bill adjustments, new connections or any other electricity service through Easypaisa, JazzCash or bank transfer to an individual’s account, and to report such requests to 118 (PITC notice).
