Paying Your MEPCO Bill

You can pay with the paper bill or a printed duplicate at a bank, or with your 14-digit reference number in a banking or mobile-wallet app that offers utility bill payment. Whichever you use, keep the receipt until the payment shows on your next bill.

Paying at a bank

Take your bill to the counter. If you have lost it, print a duplicate from the official PITC MEPCO bill page or from our bill checker — PITC describes its copy as print-ready “for payment at any branch”. The stamped counterfoil is your proof of payment.

Paying in an app

If your banking or wallet app offers utility bill payment, look for MEPCO (it may be listed as Multan Electric Power Company), enter the reference number, check that the name and amount the app shows match your bill, then pay. Save or screenshot the confirmation with its transaction ID.

Paying on or after the due date

A late-payment surcharge is added if the bill is not paid by the due date; the amount payable after the due date is printed on the bill. If you cannot pay in full, see paying a MEPCO bill in instalments.

Never pay a person

PITC warns consumers never to send money for bills, meters, repairs, fines, bill adjustments or new connections through Easypaisa, JazzCash or bank transfer to an individual’s account (PITC notice). Pay only through a bill-payment channel, against your own reference number, and report anyone asking for a personal transfer to 118.

Paid, but your next bill shows it unpaid

  1. Find your proof: the stamped counterfoil, or the app confirmation with its transaction ID and date.
  2. Take the receipt to your MEPCO customer service centre — MEPCO’s FAQ says arrears already paid are corrected on proof of payment — or register a non-line complaint on PITC’s complaint system.
